BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Defending National Champion the University of California-Davis retains the No. 1 ranking through the sixth week of the 2018 season as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 6/March 15 Women’s National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.
The Aggies (99 points) inch closer to rating as a unanimous top selection and expand their lead over runner-up California Polytechnic State University (94 points) to five points.
The University of California-Los Angeles (92 points) remains at No. 3 and stalks closer to UC-Davis and Cal Poly, while the University of California (76 points) moves in front of Lindenwood University (73 points) and the University of Washington (72 points) as the trio now stand at No. 4-to-6, respectively.
Pennsylvania State University (69 points) and Grand Valley State University (65 points) remain at No. 7 and 8 with the University of Michigan (61 points) breaking out of a tie with the University of California-Santa Barbara (60 points) at No. 9 seven days ago to rate at No. 9 and 10 this week.
San Diego State University (48 points), California State University-Chico (41 points) and the University of California-San Diego (31 points) stay at No. 11-to-13, respectively, with the trio of the University of Oregon (24 points), the University of Texas (24 points) and the University of Florida (24 points) readjusting into a three-way tie at No. 14.
The University of California-Santa Cruz (22 points) breaks into the Top 20 at No. 17, while Dartmouth College (16 points), Texas A&M University (15 points) and the Colorado School of Mines (13 points) complete the Top 20 in the final three positions.
