BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is looking to provide internships for qualified students in multimedia/video, social media and media relations/athletics communications.

Video/Multimedia

Positions include the following opportunities:

Production:

  • Green Screen Production
  • Live Multi-Camera Broadcast Positions
    • Technical Director, Replay Operator, Camera Operator, Graphics Operator
  • Video Production and Camera Work
  • Assist with the CWPA’s Remote Streaming Program
  • On-Camera Talent (if desired)

Post-Production

  • Video Editing using Final Cut Pro X
    • Highlight Videos, Tip of the Week Segments, Inside Water Moments, Commercials
  • Logging Footage
  • Help Create New Original Content for CWPA YouTube Channel and Website
  • Create Graphics and Animations using Adobe Photoshop and Motion
  • Maintain and Organize the CWPA DVD Library

Social Media

The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is seeking high achieving interns looking to gain unpaid professional experience in social media stewardship.

Ideal candidates will have some previous experience with the cultivation and use of social media platforms to present a branded message. Exceptional organization, planning and teamwork skills are essential. Basic Photoshop skills and past experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media networks and apps are necessary.

All undergraduate and graduate student applicants will be considered and the CWPA is happy to work with respective colleges and universities for the experience to count towards course credit.

Media Relations/Athletics Communications

Position includes working directly with the Director of Communications for the conference and will provide real world hands-on experience for the intern.

Responsibilities:

This position will expose the intern to all facets of media relations, providing direct experience in the following areas:

  • Writing press releases
  • Writing feature stories
  • Website management
  • Photography
  • Polls
  • Awards programs
  • Publications
  • Editing 

Requirements:

  • Individual will work a minimum of five hours per week in the office with additional time required offsite if necessary.
  • Travel to championship events at the end of each semester is also required.
  • Individual must have an excellent command of the English language and grammar. Ability to write copy and edit is critical to the position.
  • Knowledge of photography is a plus. 

Previous exposure to Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite software is preferred.
