BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Due to the termination of the 2020 campaign (both varsity and club), a number of women’s student-athletes in all sports saw their seasons come to an unceremonious conclusion. Athletes who thought they would have one final chance to compete for a division, league or national championship saw their season cut short due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is looking to provide a venue through which athletes impacted can share their voice about the conclusion of the season. Further, the league office is looking to provide a means by which coaches/teammates/etc. can honor those athletes who had their collegiate careers come to a conclusion before the final horn.
