BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the next Trivia Question of the Week.
To answer the question, submit your responses on the CWPA Facebook page (@CollegiateWaterPolo) underneath the Trivia Question story for January 22. Fans have until Noon on Sunday, January 28, to answer the question. Two winners will be randomly selected from all correct answers and will receive a prize from the CWPA office.
January 22 Question: Name the only four-time Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship Most Valuable Player.
January 16 Question: Only one school has recorded the leading scorer at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Water Polo Championship for four consecutive years (in fact, no other school has achieved the mark for more than two consecutive years). Name the institution and the athlete(s) who achieved the feat.
January 16 Answer: Scott Schulte of Bucknell University led the NCAA Championship tournament in scoring. He posted 14 goals in 1977, 13 goals in 1978 and 11 goals in 1979 prior to tying with Kevin Robertson of California for leading scorer honors in 1980 with 12. Schulte is the overwhelmingly leader in career NCAA Championship goals with 50.
