BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Sara Warix (Gr., Orangeville, Calif./Bella Vista) of the Colorado School of Mines racked up 14 goals during three games at the season-opening Women’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division tournament hosted at the University of Denver. For her performance, Warix is named the February 7 Rocky Mountain Division Player of the Week.
The Ph.D. student tallied three scores in an 8-7 defeat of the University of Colorado and found the back of the cage five times in a 10-9 grounding of the United States Air Force Academy on Saturday, February 5. Warix added six strikes in an 11-6 victory over the University of Utah to accompany a 5-0 forfeit win by Mines over host Denver to conclude the weekend with a 4-0 record.
