BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mary Elizabeth Ward (Gr., San Rafael, Calif./Marin Catholic) of Columbia University notched 15 goals over three games during a 4-0 weekend at home for the Lions during the opening weekend of women’s collegiate club New York Division competition.  Courtesy her performance, Ward earns honors as the February 10 Women’s Collegiate Club New York Division co-Player of the Week.

A graduate of the University of Washington, Ward made her inaugural appearances for Columbia count as she notched five goals versus Syracuse University (13-8 W), Cornell University (10-5 W) and New York University (14-8 W).  The Lions also claimed a 5-0 forfeit win against Colgate University.

Ward shares the New York Division Player of the Week award with Hartwick College’s Hayley Hill (Sr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Fort Lauderdale) who scored 10 goals over three games as the Hawks went 4-0 during the opening weekend of division competition.
