BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Stephania Lopez (Fr., Chicago, Ill./St. Ignatius College Prep) of Connecticut College contributed 14 goals, eight assists and six steals during a 3-0 league weekend at Monmouth College for the Camels to garner recognition as the March 26 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
She opened the weekend in Monmouth, Ill., with three goals, six assists and two steals in a 16-10 defeat of Washington & Jefferson College prior to notching five goals with an assist and two steals in a 9-5 victory over Carthage College on Saturday, March 24. Lopez concluded the weekend with six goals, an assist and two steals in a 17-11 win against Grove City College.
The award marks the inaugural CWPA weekly award presented to Lopez during her intercollegiate career.
