BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The CWPA Remote club interview series continues as Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Director of Communications Ed Haas talks with University of Arizona men’s club head coach Victor Nguyen about leading the Wildcats, his playing days at Penn State Behrend and his work with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

A San Jose, Calif., native, Nguyen competed on the varsity level in both swimming and water polo at Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa., prior to graduating in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The men’s club coach at Arizona since August 2018, and the host of the 2018 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Arizona’s Recreation Center, Nguyen stays active away from the pool deck as NASA Jenkins Fellow through the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.  Since January 2017, he has worked in research for modeling Electrical Insulation Systems for Electrified Aircraft including material science, finite element modeling, aerospace engineering and electricity/magnetism.

The CWPA Remote series is intended to provide both varsity and collegiate club coaches, athletes, alumni and more a forum to discuss the sport of water polo.
