MONMOUTH, Ill. — The Division III No. 9-ranked Macalester College water polo team concluded the regular-season schedule with a perfect 7-0 record in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) matches following a 14-1 victory over Penn State-Behrend at Monmouth College. The Scots are the CWPA regular-season champions and the top seed for the CWPA Division III Championship slated for Saturday-Sunday, April 14-15, at the Hallman Aquatics Center in Erie, Pa.

Macalester tallied the first nine goals of the game before the Lions found the net with eight seconds left in the second quarter. Junior Lucille Moran (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) and sophomore Oriana Galasso (Gresham, Ore./Central Catholic) had three goals apiece in the first half, while senior Hannah Gray (Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena), junior Natalie Hoffman (Seattle, Wash./Inglemoor) and sophomore Naomi Strait (Beaverton, Ore./Beaverton) also scored. Sophomore Cara Mullery (Palmetto Bay, Fla./MAST Academy) and Galasso each notched two goals in the final two quarters, while Moran added her fourth goal of the game.

Junior goalkeeper Courtney Overland (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) registered 16 saves for the game and had seven saves in blanking Penn State-Behrend in the second half.
