BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Hartwick College women’s water polo players Emma Aleksandrovic (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia/Medicine School Zvezdara), Gina Grauer (Fr., West Lawn, Pa./Wilson), Elena Kotachyan (Fr., Moscow, Russia/Elk Island School #368), Kristy Walker (Sr., Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Victoria Wilson (Fr., Kitchener, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute) are among 72 Hawks’ student-athletes named to the Spring 2017 Empire 8 Athletic Conference Presidents’ List.
Recipients of the honor must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution. The conference states, “Its commitment to serve the educational needs of its student-athletes is the hallmark of the Empire 8.”
The Empire 8 recognized an all-time high 897 student-athletes with the President’s List distinction. The previous high was 883 set during the fall of 2016.
