BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Bailey O’Mara (So., Darien, Conn./Darien) of No. 16-ranked Fordham University recorded 37 saves to go with six steals in three contests to earn status as the November 18 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

Now a six-time Defensive Player of the Week selection following notice on October 22 during the 2018 season prior to taking the September 9, September 23, October 7 and November 11 accolades, O’Mara started with 11 saves, a steal, and a penalty block in a win over St. Francis College Brooklyn on Wednesday, November 12. On Saturday, November 16, he broke the program’s single season record for saves at 328, passing Noah Lebeau record of 311 in 2014. He started with 10 saves and two steals against No. 13 Bucknell University in a 9-6 loss prior to notching 16 stops with three steals and an assist in an 11-10 win over LaSalle University.
