BRONX, N.Y. — Behind another big effort from junior Jake Miller-Tolt, the Fordham University water polo team made it six wins in the last seven matches, as the Rams topped the La Salle University Explorers, 15-7, at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.

With the win, Fordham improves to 12-13 on the year, with a 4-5 mark in the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-East Region.

After a 3-3 first quarter, Fordham hit their stride scoring six times in the second quarter for a 9-6 lead.  After scoring all three goals in the first quarter, Miller-Tolt added three more in the second with Dimitris Koukias, Magnus Sims and Ian Watson having the other three goals.

Fordham extended the lead to four, 11-7, after three quarters, and then shut out the Explorers in the fourth, going on to win by a 15-7 count.

For Fordham, Miller-Tolt led the way with seven goals, an assist, and two steals, while Watson had two goals, an assist, and three steals.  Magnus Sims and Tristen Knoflick each added a pair of goals with Koukias and Phillip Wang having one apiece.  Wang also added five steals with Cole Donnelly posting four. 

In net, Patrick Coffey ended the match with seven saves, including a penalty block, to go with an assist and a steal.
