BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Bailey O’Mara (Sr., Darien, Conn./Darien) of No. 15-ranked Fordham University made 14 saves in a 14-13 sudden death overtime league win at home in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center versus Bucknell University to receive notice as the November 1 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

Now a nine-time Defensive Player of the Week selection following notice on October 22 during the 2018 season prior to taking the September 9, September 23, October 7, November 11, November 18 and November 18 accolades during the 2019 campaign and the September 6 honor earlier this season, he blocked a five-meter penalty shot and pulled in a steal during sudden death overtime to help the Rams escape with the win.

O’Mara turned aside a penalty shot with Fordman trailing 12-10 to keep his team in the game and allow the Rams to rally back in the final 63 seconds of regulation to force overtime and claim victory in sudden death.
