BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Bailey O’Mara (So., Darien, Conn./Darien) of Fordham University posted 46 saves and seven steals in leading the Rams to a 4-0 record at the Bucknell University Invitational.  For his efforts in cage, O’Mara is named the September 23 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

A three-time Defensive Player of the Week selection following a notice on October 22 during the 2018 season prior to taking the September 9 nod earlier this season, he made 11 saves with three steals and a pair of blocked five-meter penalty shots in a 17-15 upset of No. 13-ranked/host Bucknell in MAWPC-East Region action on Saturday, September 21, in Fordham’s opener at the event.

He tacked on 12 saves with five goals allowed in an 11-8 victory over Salem University on September 21 prior to turning aside 13 shots with a pair of assists and one steal in a 13-9 complete-game handling of Wagner College in MAWPC-East competition to open play on Sunday, September 22.

O’Mara concluded the weekend by tallying 10 saves with four goals allowed, a pair of steals and a five-meter penalty shot block in a 15-9 MAWPC-East win over La Salle University.
