BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Fordham University’s Balazs Berenyi (So., Budapest, Hungary/BME Secondary Grammar School) totaled eight goals, two assists and three steals during a 2-1 weekend at the Princeton Invitational hosted by Princeton University.  For his performance, he is named the September 11 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player of the Week.

He opened the weekend slate in the Garden State by notching a pair of goals, an assist and a pair of steals in a 21-12 defeat of Division III No. 4-ranked Chapman University by No. 17 Fordham on Saturday, September 9.  On Sunday, September 10, he added a team-high five goals in the Rams’ 14-10 victory over No. 19 Harvard University prior to chipping in a goal and a steal in a 15-9 loss to No. 5/host Princeton.

The award marks the second weekly honor from the league office bestowed on Berenyi as he earned MAWPC Rookie of the Week status on September 5, 2022.
