BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Dimitris Koukias (So., Athens, Greece/Athens College) of Fordham University scored 15 goals and added an assist during a 4-0 weekend at the Bucknell University Invitational to claim status as the September 23 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player of the Week.
A two-time Rookie of the Week selection (October 22, November 12) in 2018, Koukias opened the weekend by scoring five times with a steal in a 17-15 defeat of the hos/No. 13-ranked Bison on Saturday, September 21. He chipped in three goals in an 11-8 victory over Salem University later in the day prior to accounting for five goals, an assist and three ejections drawn versus Wagner College in a 13-9 win and two goals in a 15-9 dispatching of La Salle University on Sunday, September 22.
For the Rams, the defeats of Bucknell, Wagner and La Salle carried significance as all three marked MAWPC-East Region league contests.
