BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Hans Zdolsek (Gr., Linkoping, Sweden/Katedralskolan/Whittier College) factored in 10 of Fordham University’s 17 goals with six markers and four assists in a 17-11 league defeat of Iona College to claim status as the February 15 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week.
Zdolsek, who competed at and graduated from Whittier College prior to arriving in the Bronx, claims Rookie of the Week status as the award is presented to a player in his first season of competition in the MAWPC.
In addition to his offensive exploits, he snagged four steals on defense as the Rams topped the Gaels in MAWPC-East Region, Northern Section competition at home in the Bronx.
