BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jacopo Parrella (Fr., Naples, Italy/Umberto I State Classical) of No. 15-ranked Fordham University totaled nine goals, five assists and eight steals during the course of two Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-East Region home games to claim recognition as the November 1 MAWPC Rookie and Player of the Week.

A three-time weekly award recipient fro the league office after previously earning the September 20 Rookie of the Week laurel, Parrella netted three goals, three assists and a season-high five steals in a 19-4 defeat of Division III No. 7 Johns Hopkins University on October 30. 

He added a season-high six goals to accompany two assists and three steals in a 14-13 sudden death overtime victory versus Bucknell University on October 31.

Parrella netted the game-tying score with five seconds left in regulation to force overtime and overcame cramping while trading water in sudden death overtime to bury the game-winning score.
