BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Former Hartwick College standout Katie McKenty ’18 is among 15 athletes selected to compete for New Zealand at the upcoming 2023 World Aquatics World Championships set for Saturday-Friday, July 15-29 in Fukuoka, Japan.

A native of Auckland, New Zealand, and a graduate of the Takapuna Grammar School, McKenty competed for Hartwick during the 2015-18 seasons and compiled 119 goals, 180 assists and 149 steals during her four-year tenure in New York. During her time at Hartwick, the Hawks totaled a record of 90-54 including Third (2015, 2017, 2018) and Fourth (2016) Place finishes at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship.

She will compete with New Zealand in Group D at the World Aquatics World Championships as the squad will take on Canada, Hungary and Japan.
