BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Gannon University, Mercyhurst University and the host Presidents of the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-West Region will open the 2018 season at the 2018 Washington & Jefferson College Invitational with Penn State Behrend of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) on Saturday-Sunday, September 1-2.

Competition will be held at Highland Park Pool in Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 1, as Mercyhurst will take on W&J (10:00 a.m.) and Gannon will battle Penn State Behrend (11:00 a.m.) to start the season.  Following a match-up between the Renegades (Pittsburgh Masters) and Penn State Behrend “B” at Noon, Mercyhurst will return to the pool to take on Penn State Behrend at 1:00 p.m.  The day concludes with the Presidents dueling with Gannon at 2:00 p.m. prior to the Penn State Behrend “B” team meeting the W&J Alumni at 3:00 p.m.

The weekend concludes back in Washington, Pa., at W&J Pool on Sunday, September 2 as Washington & Jefferson aims to deal Penn State Behrend a defeat at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Behrend Lions facing a mixed team of W&J Alumni and Renegades athletes.
