ERIE, Pa. — The Penn State Behrend women’s water polo team fell to Gannon University, 22-11, on the final day of the Curtis Robinette Memorial Tournament hosted by Mercyhurst at the Hagerty Events Center.
The Golden Knights never trailed in the game, holding a 7-3 edge in the first quarter and pushing out to 12-4 margin prior to halftime.
Lauren True scored four times for the Lions in the third period to keep the difference at eight goals – 16-8 – heading into the fourth quarter. Gannon closed out the contest by outpointing Penn State Behrend, 6-3, in the final eight minutes to double-up the Lions.
Makenzie Rickerd and Darragh Martin both tallied three goals for Penn State Behrend as Rickerd scored one in the first and two in the fourth, while Martin scored two in the first and one in the fourth.
