BRONX/STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.  — The George Washington University water polo team fell in a pair of games in New York as the Revolutionaries were quelled 17-12 by No. 5-ranked Fordham University in the Bronx before taking a 12-11 loss on Staten Island versus Wagner College.  The losses drop GW to 10-9 on the season and 1-3 in MAWPC play.

The Revolutionaries opened the day at Fordham and fell behind 6-3 in the first quarter.  GW was unable to recover against the defending MAWPC Champion Rams as Fordham kept their foe at arms length to claim a five-score victory.

Konstantinos Kapragkos led the way for the Revs with seven goals, including three in the fourth quarter, while Joseph McCreary and Andrea Forno each added pairs.

The Buff & Blue followed it up with a one-score defeat at Wagner. GW used a big second and third quarter to take a 10-6 lead into the fourth, but were unable to hang on, being outscored 6-1 in the final frame.
