BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Elaine Miller (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) racked up 13 goals, seven assists, six drawn exclusions and four steals during a 4-0 league weekend for Grove City College to claim recognition as the March 11 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
In a weekend which featured the Wolverines downing Washington & Jefferson College (18-9 W), Utica College (20-6 W), Connecticut College (17-11 W) and Penn State Behrend (16-9) during the opening weekend of CWPA Division III-East Region competition at W&J in Washington, Pa., Miller made her mark.
She posted four goals in the defeats of W&J and Connecticut to go along with a three score effort versus Utica.
