BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Elizabeth Andrews (Fr., Newberg, Ore./Newberg (Veritas Academy)) of Grove City College tallied two goals and five assists against Saint Francis University and George Washington University at the Mercyhurst University Invitational hosted at the Prep-Villa Events Center to earn recognition as the February 20 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
She scored once and dished out three assists in a 14-5 loss to the Red Flash of Saint Francis prior to depositing a goal with two assists and a pair of steals in a 17-4 defeat at the hands of the George Washington Colonials.
Andrews is the first Wolverines’ player to earn Division III Rookie of the Week status since Abby Spicher (So., Erie, Pa./McDowell) earned recognition on March 14, 2016.
