BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lena Kotanchyan (So., Moscow, Russia/Elk Island School) of No. 13-ranked Hartwick College posted 11 goals, five assists and five steals in a 2-1 weekend for the Hawks at home to claim March 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Co-Player of the Week honors.

Facing a trio of league opponents in non-conference games, she opened the weekend with three goals and two assists with three steals in a 13-12 victory over No. 17 Princeton University.  Kotanchyan added a game-high six goals and two assists in a 15-9 defeat of Brown University prior to tacking on a pair of tallies with one assist in a 14-7 setback versus No. 9 University of Michigan.

A four-time Rookie of the Week selection after earning recognition on February 6, March 6, April 17 and May 1 in 2017, she previously claimed the February 5 Player of the Week award earlier this season.

Kotanchyan shares the award with Caroline Anderson (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of Michigan who registered six goals, seven assists and five steals in a trio of non-conference victories at Hartwick for the Wolverines.
