CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard University men’s water polo team will welcome four new members to the team for the 2020-21 season, as announced by the Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach Ted Minnis. The Crimson will welcome Cam Dougherty, Owen Hale, Max Keck and Mot Stothart. Minnis is excited about the Class of 2024, stating, “They each have accomplished so much in and out of the water already and will look to add to the success we have had over the last few years”.

Cam Dougherty | Center | Naperville, Ill. | Naperville Central
Three-year letterwinner in water polo at Naperville Central High School…Served as captain his senior year…Spent two years each with the West Suburban Water Polo Club and the Vultures Water Polo Club…Earned a 76-4 record with Naperville Central, including two back-to-back state championships in 2018 and 2019…Scored 127 goals in 80 total matches…National AP scholar and National Merit Commended Student…Member of the National Honor Society since 2018…Named to Naperville Central High School’s Honor Roll for eight semesters

Owen Hale | Attacker | El Segunda, Calif. | Loyola High School of Los Angeles
Two-year varsity starter at El Segundo High School (2016-18)…Captained the El Segundo team in 2017…Two-year varsity starter at Loyola High School of Los Angeles (2018-20)…Served as captain at Loyola during the 2019 season…Seven-year starter with South Bay United…Three-year starter at Trojan Water Polo Club…Named Rookie of the Year (2016) and Offensive Player of the Year (2017) at El Segundo…Earned Offensive MVP honors at Loyola in 2019…Named to the DIII All-CIF SS Third Team (2017), DI All-CIF SS Second Team (2018), DI All-CIF SS First Team (2019)…Earned All-Ocean League First Team honors while at El Segundo in 2016 and 2017…Named to the All-Mission League Second Team in 2018 and the All-Mission League First Team in 2019 while at Loyola…Helped guide Loyola to two DI CIF SS Semifinal appearances (2018 and 2019)…Member of the USA Cadet National Team in 2017 which won gold at the Darko Cucic Tournament in Belgrade Serbia…Named to the USA Youth National Team in 2018 and 2019…AP Scholar…Father Aaron graduated from the US Air Force Academy while mother Sara was a DI swimmer at the University of North Dakota

Max Keck | Attacker | La Jolla, Calif. | The Bishop’s School
Four-year letterwinner at The Bishop’s School…Named captain for the 2019-20 season and led the team to a CIF SDS Open Division Championship…Earned First Team All-CIF and First Team All-League honors in 2019…In 2018, was named to the Second Team All-League and National Junior Olympic All-America First Team.. Earned USA All-Academic honors in 2017 and 2018…Won a bronze medal with the National Junior Olympic Team in the 16U Platinum Division in 2017 and 2018…Named to The Bishop’s School Honor roll 2014-20…Earned the National League of Young Men Lieutenant Award (35+ hours of community service) in 2018, the Ensign Award (20+ hours of community service) in 2019 and the Commander Award (60+ hours of community service) in 2017…Member of the Garcia Marquez Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica…Sister Lily plays water polo at Brown University
