BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 2024 Olympian Jovana Sekulic (Sr., Belgrade, Serbia/The Episcopal Academy) of Princeton University and former University of Maryland athlete/Women’s National Team Operations Manager Ally Beck helped the United States to dispatch Argentina, 26-3, on Tuesday, July 15, and claim the Group B crown at the 2025 World Aquatics Championship in Singapore, Republic of Singapore.

Team USA, which previously knocked off China (15-7 W, Friday, July 11) and the Netherlands (11-9 W, Sunday, July 13) will next be in action at 5:35 a.m. Eastern/2:35 a.m. Pacific on Saturday, July 19, in the championship’s quarterfinals against an opponent to be determined.

Sekulic, who shot one-for-three on action shots and collected a pair of steals in 17:07 against China prior to again shooting one-for-three on action shots with a steal in 21:00 versus the Netherlands off the bench, continued her offensive exploits versus Argentina.  She converted on four-of-seven shots (one-for-one action shots / two-for-four center shots / zero-for-one man-up / one-for-one penalty shots) and snagged a pair of steals in 18:43 as a starter as the Americans wrapped up Group B competition with a 52-19 scoring advantage over the span of three games.
