2017 Harvard University Men’s Water Polo Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Harvard University men’s water polo team has announced its 2017 schedule which includes five home matches and five tournaments throughout the fall. All of Harvard’s home matches will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Network.

Harvard will begin the season with three tournaments, beginning with the Bruno Classic at Brown University on September 2-3. Throughout those two days the Crimson will face off against Stanford University and Pepperdine University on September 2 followed by McKendree University and Wagner College on September 3. A week later, Harvard will play in the Princeton University Invitational on September 9-10.

Harvard then travels to Bucknell University’s Bison Invitational on September 16-17 for a pair of doubleheaders. The Crimson will close out the month beginning Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) play by traveling back to Princeton on September 30.

Harvard will trek to New York on October 1 for league matches at St. Francis College Brooklyn in the morning, followed by another match at Iona College later the same afternoon.

On October 7, the Crimson will play a pair of league games in Cambridge, starting with the home opener against Brown at Blodgett Pool followed by an away match at crosstown rival the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Harvard then continues with a pair of tournaments including the Harvard Invitational from October 13-15 prior to the Santa Clara University Invitational on October 20-22.

The Crimson begins a four game series at Blodgett Pool starting with Princeton on October 28 before facing Iona and St. Francis Brooklyn in a doubleheader on October 29.

Harvard closes out the homestand against MIT on November 4. On the same day, the Crimson travels to Brown to close out the regular season and conference schedule.

The NWPC Championship will take place from November 17-19 at Harvard as the Crimson will aim to defend their 2016 league crown on their home turf and return to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship for the second time in as many years.
