2019 Harvard University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After tallying its fifth consecutive 20+ win season in 2018, the Harvard University men’s water polo team has announced its 2019 schedule according to Ted Minnis, The Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach.
The Crimson will hit the Blodgett Pool water to open the season on September 8 with a doubleheader against California Lutheran University and McKendree University at 10:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., respectively. The following weekend, September 14-15, the team will hit the road for the first time, traveling to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Princeton Invitational against the University of California-San Diego, the United States Naval Academy and Fordham University. On September 21-22, the Crimson will head south again, this time to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Invitational.
Early October will see the Crimson on the road for two consecutive weekends to begin Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) action, competing against Princeton, St. Francis College Brooklyn and Iona College on October 5-6 and Brown on October 12. Harvard men’s water polo will host the Harvard Invitational on October 19-20 at Blodgett Pool, with matches slated against George Washington University, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Bucknell and La Salle University.
The Crimson will complete regular season play at home against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on November 10 and postseason action will start at the NWPC Championships hosted by MIT, which run from November 22-24 in Cambridge.
All home matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
