BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Alex James (Jr., Burlington, Ontario/Assumption Catholic Secondary School) of No. 10-ranked Harvard University contributed three steals and a field block in a 14-13 victory over No. 19 Brown University and aided the Crimson’s cause in a 17-11 handling of Division III No. 5 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at home in Blodgett Pool to earn a nod as the November 6 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, James helped Harvard wrap-up the regular season with a 23-3 mark, including a 9-1 record in NWPC action, as the Crimson clinched the No. 2 seed for the upcoming league championship tournament in Blodgett on Friday-Sunday, November 17-19.
