BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Alexis Kieckhafer (Sr., Coto De Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita) of No. 19-ranked Harvard University stopped 17 shots in games versus No. 10 Arizona State University, No. 2 Stanford University and host/No. 23 San Diego State University during the 2024 Aztec Invitational to take the March 11 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week award.
A three-time weekly honor recipient from the league office after previously garnering the February 5 and February 26 Defensive Player of the Week honors earlier in the year, she made six saves versus Arizona State in an 11-6 loss on Saturday, March 9, prior to turning away five scoring tries against Stanford in a 17-6 setback on Sunday, March 10.
Kieckhafer capped off the Aztec Invitational by snagging six saves as the Crimson stopped San Diego State by a 16-11 count on March 10.
