BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Alexis Kieckhafer (Sr., Coto De Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita) of No. 19-ranked Harvard University stopped 25 shots over the span of four games to help the Crimson to a 2-2 record at home during the Bruno Classic. For her prowess, she is named the February 5 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, Kieckhafer posted four and seven saves in setbacks against No 14 Indiana University (17-10 L) and No. 18 Wagner College (12-7 L) on Saturday, February 3. On Sunday, February 4, she turned aside five shots in a 9-8 defeat of La Salle University prior to making nine saves in a 14-8 victory over Marist College. In addition, she added assists versus both Indiana and Wagner.
