BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Charlie Owens (Sr., Wilton, Conn./Wilton) of No. 9-ranked Harvard University tallied six goals in a pair of victories over Brown University and Division III No. 3 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to earn recognition as the October 14 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.
He scored twice at Brown in a 12-5 victory on Saturday, October 13, prior to pumping in four markers on the road during an 18-7 defeat of MIT on Sunday, October 14, to up his team leading goal total to 39 on the season.
The award marks the fourth weekly honor bestowed on Owens during his intercollegiate career following the October 30 Player of the Week nod during the 2017 campaign after taking the November 28 and December 5 Rookie of the Week laurels as a freshman in 2016.
