BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jack Burghardt (Fr., Manhattan Beach, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) of No. 13-ranked Harvard University scored 11 goals and dished out six assists over the span of four games during the 2023 Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament hosted by San Jose State University and Santa Clara University. The performance earns the first-year Crimson athlete recognition as the October 23 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Rookie of the Week.

A two-time Rookie of the Week honoree following prior recognition on September 4, Burghardt started the weekend trip to the West Coast by pumping in three goals and handing out a pair of assists in a 12-6 romp at No. 20 Santa Clara on Friday, October 20.  He tacked on three goals and three assists on Saturday, October 21, at No. 14 San Jose State in a 12-10 victory prior to contributing two goals and an assists in an 11-10 dispatching of No. 17 California Baptist University at Santa Clara.

On Sunday, October 22, he wrapped up the four-game string by delivering a hat-trick with three goals in a 22-19 offensive shootout with No. 16 University of the Pacific at San Jose State.
