BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mathilde Ribordy (Sr., Quebec City, Quebec/Les Hydres de Quebec) is among 10 Harvard University student-athletes to earn Spring 2020 Academic All-Ivy recognition.
For each sports season (Fall, Winter, Spring), each Ivy institution nominates 10 student-athletes – five men and five women – with grade point averages of 3.00 or higher. These student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve on an officially sponsored varsity sport. A total of 80 athletes were recognized for the Spring 2020 season.
The lone water polo athlete on the list from among the three Ivy League schools (Brown University, Harvard, Princeton University) that sponsor the sport for women on the varsity level, Riboardy recorded 146 goals, 59 assists, 79 steals and 30 field blocks over her career. Currently ranked second, third and fourth in program history in for field blocks per season, she stands ninth in program history for career goals with 146. A three-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic selection, she garnered Second Team Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Tournament status in 2018.
