BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Harvard University’s Noah Hodge (So., San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) made 44 saves over the span of four games at home in Blodgett Pool to earn recognition as the October 21 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

Facing No. 17-ranked George Washington University (14-13 W), No. 19 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (17-16 W OT SD), No. 15 Bucknell University (9-8 W) and La Salle University (18-4 W), Hodge served as the last line of defense for the No. 9 Crimson as Harvard remains undefeated at 18-0 on the season.

He stopped 11 shots against both George Washington and Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, October 19, before turning aside 15 scoring tries facing Bucknell and seven shots in three quarters versus La Salle on Sunday, October 20.

The award marks the eighth weekly honor bestowed on the sophomore goalie during his intercollegiate career following two NWPC Rookie (October 15, October 29) and four Defensive Player (September 10, October 1, October 29, November 5) of the Week nods in 2018 before claiming the September 9 NWPC Defensive Player laurel earlier this year.
