BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Noah Hodge (So., San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) of No. 12-ranked Harvard University made 10 saves in victories over Division III No. 8 California Lutheran University (16-7 W) and McKendree University (20-8 W) at home during the 2019 Brown University Bruno Classic to earn status as the September 9 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Competing at home on the final day of the Bruno Classic and splitting time in cage, Hodge stopped eight shots against Cal Lutheran before making two saves versus McKendree.
The award marks the seventh weekly honor bestowed on the sophomore goalie during his intercollegiate career following two NWPC Rookie (October 15, October 29) and four Defensive Player (September 10, October 1, October 29, November 5) of the Week nods in 2018.
