BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Noah Hodge (Jr., San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) of No. 14-ranked Harvard University totaled 42 saves, three assists  and four steals with 34 goals against across three league games during a 2-1 weekend for the Crimson to earn status as the October 4 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

A three-time Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2021 following previous laurels on September 13 and 27, Hodge opened a three-game road trip to the greater New York metro area by making 14 saves with an assist, two steals and eight goals against in a 10-8 victory at No. 13 Princeton University in Princeton, N.J., on Saturday, October 2.  Later in the day, he turned aside 16 shots with a goal scored and 12 goals allowed in a 12-10 loss at St. Francis College Brooklyn in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.

On Sunday, October 3, Hodge stopped 12 shots with pairs of assists and steals compare to 14 goals allowed in an 18-14 win at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.

A six-time NWPC Defensive Player of the Week during a 2019 season in which he anchored the Crimson to the NWPC Championship and a berth to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship following a freshman season in which he netted three Rookie of the Week and a pair of Defensive Player of the Week awards, Hodge has now claimed the NWPC Defensive Player of the Week 11 times during his tenure between the pipes for the Crimson.
