BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Noah Hodge (Jr., San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) of No. 15-ranked Harvard University totaled 13 saves on 18 shots during the Crimson’s 14-5 victory over No. 20 the United States Air Force Academy.  For his performance, Hodge earns recognition as the September 27 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

A two-time Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2021 following previous laurels on September 13, he recorded at least three saves in every quarter of the game, including a five-meter penalty shot save and two breakaway saves in the third quarter. The five goals allowed tied a season-low for the Crimson.

A six-time NWPC Defensive Player of the Week during a 2019 season in which he anchored the Crimson to the NWPC Championship and a berth to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship following a freshman season in which he netted three Rookie of the Week and a pair of Defensive Player of the Week awards, Hodge is now a 10-time NWPC Defensive Player of the Week selection during his intercollegiate career.
