Mia Stitt (Fr., Gig Harbor, Wash.) trimmed Texas A&M’s lead to 3-2 with 4:03 left in the third quarter, but the Aggies responded as Senmache (3:38), Loftin (1:42; 52 seconds) and Connolly (33 seconds, man-up) combined for a four-goal outburst to widen the gap between the teams to 7-2.

Addie Sciammas (Sr., Pleasanton, Calif.) terminated the run for the Huskies by denting the twine with three seconds left in the third quarter to inch Washington back within four at 7-3.

Southwell chipped another tally off the Huskies’ scoreboard disadvantage by lining in a shot with 4:18 remaining in the fourth quarter to make it a 7-4 contest.

Natural (4:02) and man-up (3:30) scores by Connolly made it 9-4, Southwell struck again at 1:35 to close within 9-5 and the duo of Kayla Shaunfield (Sr., Houston, Texas) and Connolly wrapped up the Aggies’ offense by tossing home insurance markers with 38 and nine seconds left, respectively, for the 11-5 final score.
