PRINCETON, N.J. — The No. 15-ranked Princeton University opened up the 2026 Princeton Invitational with a 17-7 defeat of Mount St. Mary’s University in DeNunzio Pool.

The Tigers started off with the first seven goals of the game and held the Mountaineers without a goal for the first 11:35 of game action as head coach Derek Ellingson‘s group led 8-2 at halftime.

Princeton was not threatened in the second half, leading by seven after three quarters before taking a 10-goal decision.

Shanna Davidson matched her career high with five goals to pace the offense, while Olivia Krotts added four tallies and an assist. Didi Evans had six points with two goals and four dimes in the win.

Ava Houlahan accounted for two goals with an assist, Charlotte Riches notched a pair of goals with Abby Folk, Vivian Golub and Margaret Brandin lobbing home solo markers.

Kendall Wyer (three), Brandin, Hadley Harbilas and Golub tacked on assists to support a combined seven save performance by goalkeepers Sophie Bollyky Purcell (four), CJ Weigel (two) and Lindsey Lucas (one).
