SANTA CLARA, Calif. — No. 19-ranked Harvard University men’s water polo erased a 10–4 deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but a late Broncos’ push proved to be too much for the Crimson in a 16-11 loss at No. 17 Santa Clara University in both teams’ final game of the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament.

Jake Tsotadze, Tyler Hogan and Lukas Peabody each delivered clutch goals during Harvard’s six-goal surge to level the score at 10-all.

Senior goalkeeper Tanner Furtak made 11 saves, holding the Broncos at bay throughout the comeback effort.

Santa Clara regained a two-goal advantage after the equalizer and added three into an empty net down the stretch.

Jack Burghardt registered a hat trick with three goals to lead the way for the Crimson, while Peabody scored twice.  Hogan recorded a goal and an assist.
