BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Illinois State University, located in Normal, Ill., seeks a water polo head coach for the institution’s men’s (Fall season) and women’s (Spring season) collegiate club teams.
The men’s team currently has 15 members with one goalie and the women’s team has 23 members and two goalies.
The Illinois State club teams are seeking an individual to volunteer as a coach with a time commitment of three hours every week for practices from 9:00-10:30 p.m. on Mondays/Wednesdays and more time on the weekends at tournaments.
ISU currently practices in a shallow/deep pool and both teams typically travel to three or four away tournaments during their respective competitive seasons. The teams seek a coach to aid with conditioning by creating swim sets, designing practices that preparing players for the game through offensive and defensive drills, along with working through plays on a white board to aid players.
Additionally, the individual will assist at tournaments by creating lines, calling time-outs, and strategizing for games.
