BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Sebastian Daraban (Fr., Chicago, Ill./Amundsen) of Illinois State University contributed 12 goals, 10 assists and seven steals during a 3-1 opening weekend of Missouri Valley Division competition in Ames, Iowa, at Iowa State University. For his performance, Daraban is named the division’s September 14 Player of the Week.
Facing Missouri University S&T (11-7 W), the University of Missouri (7-5 W), Iowa State (14-4 L) and Washington University in St., Louis (14-11 W), Daraban factored in each contest to help the Redbirds to a second place standing in the Missouri Valley Division following the group’s first weekend of competition.
He scored three times with three assists versus Missouri S&T, added pairs of goals and assists versus Missouri and accounted for a goal and an assist facing Iowa State on Saturday, September 12. On Sunday, September 13, he wrapped up the weekend with six goals and four assists in helping Illinois State clip Washington U.
