BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Former Indiana University Hoosiers Jessica Gaudreault and Shae (Fournier) La Roche helped Canada top Colombia, 22-2, at the Alfred Hajos National Swimming Stadium in both teams’ second game of Group A competition at the 2022/19th Annual FINA World Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary.

Canada – which stands at 1-0-1 following a 7-7 tie versus Italy on Monday, June 20, will next be in action on Friday, June 24, against Hungary to conclude group competition.

A 2019 graduate of Indiana and a current assistant coach at the University of Michigan, Gaudreault stopped three-of-five shots she faced in the first half as Canada built an 8-2 lead by halftime prior to outscoring the Colombians 7-0 in both the third and fourth quarters.

Through two games, Gaudreault has 16 saves on 25 shots to help keep Canada undefeated.

La Roche – who scored once in the victory over Italy – posted a steal against Colombia.
