2025 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Fordham University’s Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center, will serve as the site for the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 21-23, with No. 2 seed/No. 20-ranked the United States Naval Academy, No. 3 seed George Washington University, No. 4 seed Bucknell University, No. 5 seed Wagner College, No. 6 seed Mount St. Mary’s University, No. 7 seed Mercyhurst University and the host No. 1 seed/No. 5 Rams.
The three-day, 10-game championship will decide the MAWPC Champion and automatic qualifier for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Water Polo National Championship on December 5-7, 2025, at Stanford University’s Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif.
Coming to the Event?:
- Parking: A parking garage is available within walking distance of the Messmore Aquatic Center. When entering campus, fans should notify the security personnel they are attending the Water Polo Championship to receive a discounted rate of $15 per car. Fans should be aware of other events on Fordham’s campus during the weekend that could impact traffic around campus and parking. On Sunday, the Fordham women’s basketball teams plays Manhattan College at 2:00 p.m.
- Tickets: Tickets are available at the door to the pool on the day(s) of the championship. Tickets are $15 per day or $35 for a three-day pass which entitles the bearer entry to all championship games on Friday-Sunday, November 21-23. Fordham students, faculty and staff with a valid college ID, and senior citizens 65 and older, will be admitted at discounted prices of $10 (tournament pass) and $5 (one-day pass). All children 12 and under are free of charge.
- Facility: Located in the Vincent T. Lombardi Memorial Center, the eight-lane, 38-meter Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center seats 500.
- Food: Concessions will be sold throughout the weekend for all spectators on the second level where tickets are sold, as well as a Grab ‘N Go open in the main lobby of the adjoining McShane Center.
- Sportsmanship Statement: The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) promote good sportsmanship by officials, student-athletes, coaches, team representatives, event personnel and spectators. The league requests your cooperation by supporting the participants, staff, officials and event personnel in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at student-athletes, event personnel, officials, coaches, fans or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. The possession, consumption and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products is strictly prohibited.

- The 2025 MAPC Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 21-23, will be streamed at www.CWPATV.com (subscription required) at at cost of $15 per game or $35 for a weekend pass (i.e., all 10 games).

To Reach the Rose Hill Campus by Subway
The D subway line stops at Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse, a few blocks from the University.

To Reach the Rose Hill Campus by Train
From Grand Central: Take the MetroNorth Commuter Railroad to the Fordham Road Station stop. Exit left out of the train station. The Fordham University Third Avenue gate will be a few steps ahead of you, on your left.

To Reach the Rose Hill Campus by Plane
Fordham University is easily accessible from all the major airports in the New York metropolitan area: Kennedy International, LaGuardia, and Newark. The Riverdale/Jitney Limo service will provide transportation to the Rose Hill campus. Phone: 718-884-9400. Taxi service to both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses is available from all airports.

To Reach the Rose Hill Campus by Car
From Points West and South via the George Washington Bridge: Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 159. Follow signs for George Washington Bridge/I-80 East. Off the bridge, take the exit for the Henry Hudson Parkway North (1st exit from the Bridge). Follow the Henry Hudson Pkwy North to Exit 24, Mosholu Parkway. Stay on the Mosholu Parkway to the end (the New York Botanical Garden will be in front of you). Take a right onto Southern Boulevard. Fordham’s main entrance is at the third light. Turn right.
From Upstate NY and Rockland County: NY State Thruway South to the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take Exit 8 onto Rt. 287 (Cross-Westchester Expressway). Take Exit 3 onto the Sprain Brook Parkway South (to NYC). Sprain Brook Parkway turns into the Bronx River Parkway. Take Exit 7W / Fordham Rd. (US 1). Proceed west for approximately 1/4 mile. The New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the right, avoiding the underpass. At the light, turn right onto Southern Blvd / Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff Blvd. After 1/4 mile, turn left into the University.
From New England: Via Rt. 84: Follow Rt. 84 West to Brewster, NY. Exit to 684 South. 684 changes to the Hutchinson River Parkway South. Exit to Pelham Parkway West. Pass the exits to the Bronx River Parkway (the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right), and stay to the right, avoiding the underpass. At the light, turn right onto Southern Blvd / Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff Blvd. After 1/4 mile, turn left at the light into the University.
From New England: Via I-95: Follow I-95 South to Exit 8C/Pelham Parkway West. Pass the exits to the Bronx River Parkway (the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right), and stay to the right, avoiding the underpass. At the light, turn right onto Southern Blvd. / Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff Blvd. After 1/4 mile, turn left at the light into the University.

At the light, turn right onto Southern Blvd / Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff Blvd. After 1/4 mile, turn left into the University.
