BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Owen Bartlett (Fr., Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) of Division III No. 8-ranked Johns Hopkins University posted seven goals, two assists, seven ejections drawn and a field block during a 1-1 weekend of league competition to earn laurels as the October 16 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week.
A two-time weekly honor recipient from the league office following a prior Rookie of the Week nod on September 4, he tallied two goals with an assist in an 18-9 loss in Lewisburg, Pa., at Bucknell University on Saturday, October 14. On Sunday, October 15, at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md., he led the way for the Blue Jays with five goals and an assist in a 12-11 come-from-behind defeat of the Mountaineers.
