BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Courtney Overland (Jr., Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) of Division III No. 9-ranked Macalester College made 46 saves and scored a goal from half-tank in a trio of victories at the Carthage College Tournament to earn notice as the February 26 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
She notched 15 saves in wins over both Monmouth College (9-5 W) and McKendree University (9-6 W) prior to turning aside 16 shots and scoring a goal from mid-tank in an 11-5 defeat of the host Lady Reds.
A three-time honor recipient from the league office, she previously earned the March 6 and April 10 Division III Defensive Player of the Week awards in 2017.
