BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Courtney Overland (Jr., Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) of Division III No. 8-ranked Macalester College posted 29 saves in three games against Utica College, Carthage College and Division III No. 10 Connecticut College at the 2018 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship hosted by Penn State Behrend at the David M. Hallman III Aquatics Center in Erie, Pa., to earn notice as the April 16 CWPA Division III Defensive Player of the Week.

Following seven save performances against both Utica College (15-3 W) and Carthage College (13-5 W) in the opening and semifinal rounds of the league championship tournament, she wrapped up the weekend by turning away 15 shots and earning First Team All-Tournament recognition for stopping Connecticut, 13-12, in overtime during the league title game.
