BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Gabriela Weiner (Fr., Chicago, Ill./Whitney M. Young Magnet) of Macalester College scored three times over the span of four games versus Carthage College to earn recognition as the April 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
The Scots defeated the Firebirds by scores of 18-13 and 13-5 on the road in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Friday, April 9, prior to picking up 15-2 and 20-7 victories at home in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday, April 11.
Weiner scored once in the 18-13 victory and twice in the 20-7 win as Macalester wrapped up the season with a perfect 4-0 record.
